Difference between v1.0 and v2.0 => v1.0 is 100% terry towelling, v2.0 has a terry-towelling inner and velour outer.

Which is better: Cotton vs microfibre towel ponchos?
Cotton is usually best if you want proper towel comfort and absorbency; microfibre is more compact but often uncomfortable and itchier.
Our Stravaig ponchos are 100% cotton, with a soft velour outer and terry inner - so they feel lush on the outside and dry you properly on the inside, which makes them a bit different from the usual options.
Many of our customers have complimented us on how quickly the ponchos get you dry after a swim. This makes the kids ones particularly appealing as it makes the post swim change much easier.
What size towel poncho do I need?
Our hooded towelling changing robes come in adult sizing, and we’ve also got a kids size (age 4 to age 9).
For bigger kids / teens, our Adult S–M is often the best shout as it gives a bit more length and coverage.

If you’re between sizes or want extra privacy for changing, sizing up is usually better. More changing space = less faff (especially on windy beach days).
What’s the difference between a towelling changing robe and a changing robe?
A towelling changing robe is mainly for drying and changing. It’s made from towel material, so it’s great for throwing on after a swim, getting dry, and having a bit of privacy while you get changed.
A waterproof robe is more like an all-weather outer layer. Stravaig’s are waterproof and windproof on the outside with a warm lining, so they are built to keep you warm and protected in proper Scottish weather, which is ideal for colder days, long beach hangs, dog walks, or standing about watching outdoor sports.
In short: towelling changing robe = dry off + change. waterproof robe = stay warm + weatherproof.
