Care Guide
Care Guide
*Whilst the robe can be machine washed, instructions below, we do not recommend frequent washing as, with any waterproof garment, it will reduce its waterproof quality. We instead recommend you wipe down your robe with a damp cloth or sponge if your robe is dirty. If necessary, retreat with a waterproof coating*
Hand or machine wash separately, inside out, on a delicate cycle in warm water [below 30 degrees]. Use mild detergent, rinse well.
Do not dry clean. Do not bleach.
Hang to dry. Do not tumble dry. Do not iron.

Your Questions
Stravaig Again Robe - Lightly Used - Heather Lilac FAQs
What is a Changing Robe used for?
A changing robe (also often referred to as a dry robe or swim robe) is used to keep you warm, covered, and comfortable while you get changed outdoors - especially after wild swimming, paddleboarding, surfing, or a chilly beach dip. It gives you privacy for quick changes, helps block wind and rain, and the cosy lining helps you warm up fast so you’re not standing shivering at the side of the loch.
They’re also brilliant as an extra layer for dog walkers, campers, and anyone watching outdoor sports on cold, windy days.
Sizing tip: if you’re buying it mainly to wear as a coat (rather than for changing underneath), we usually recommend sizing down for a less oversized fit.
Do Changing Robes Dry you?
Yes - a changing robe helps you dry off, but it won’t “magically” dry you on its own.
The soft, absorbent lining helps soak up water from your skin and swimwear, while the outer waterproof layer blocks wind and rain, which stops you getting cold while you’re drying and changing. For best results, give yourself a quick towel-off first, then pop the robe on to warm up and finish drying comfortably.
What size should I buy?
The answer depends on three things - your height, dress size and what you want to use it for. If you are planning to use as a coat then the general rule is take one size down from your usual size. Please check out our sizing guide for comprehensive advice on which size to choose. If you’re still unsure, drop us an email.
